God’s Blessings 2

Friday, November 30th, 2007

Although we are not a wealthy church by any stretch of the imagination (we don’t own a building or have any paid staff) we are by no means poor. However we try to husband our funds to be able to give as much as we can to people and projects we are involved with, such as orphans in Rumania, Starfish in Malawi and various organisations and churches in Israel and the Middle East.

Therefore when our laptop died earlier in the year we were reticent in buying a new one because of the relatively large expenditure, even though this piece of equipment has become the heart of how we operate our service. This is why there has been a temporary halt to the recording of our weekly message (our apologies to people outside the church who listened to these).

I was therefore very excited to receive a letter last Saturday from a local computer store saying that someone had asked them to supply us with a new machine! It is great when God blesses someone, and they are faithful enough to bless others in turn. We would therefore give praise to God, thanks to our anonymous benefactor and a promise to restore normal service as soon as possible in the new year.

God’s Blessings 1

As everyone who attends Verity knows, we are only a small church numbering some 60 souls. We started out with just a half dozen so we have seen growth even if it has not been spectacular. However, just recently God has blessed us with a very quick increase by the birth of two babies on the same day. So we would like to thank God for Jasmine Rose Ford and Joshua Sharp both born on the 21st November. The biggest miracle is that these two healthy beautiful babies were both born to mothers who desperately wanted another child but thought that medically this was impossible! God is good!
